MCAS Yuma Airshow 2025

Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, located in the southwest corner of Arizona, is one of the busiest air stations in the Marine Corps. Established in 1928 as Fly Field, it has evolved into a crucial aviation training facility, supporting approximately 80% of the Marine Corps’ air-to-ground aviation training. The station is home to multiple squadrons of F-35B Lightning IIs, Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1 (MAWTS-1), and other key units. MCAS Yuma provides access to over 1 million acres of bombing and aviation-training ranges, including the Barry M. Goldwater Range and Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range. With excellent year-round flying conditions, the station conducts about 200,000 operations annually and hosts numerous U.S. and NATO forces for various training exercises. In addition to its military functions, MCAS Yuma shares facilities with Yuma International Airport and allows regulated public access to approximately 75% of the Barry M. Goldwater Range-West for recreational activities.
